Great idea, Kathy. People often don't know how to work with others to get the best out of the relationship. I've used DiSC and Insights Development to talk about different ways of working - first a quick explanation of the model, then some card sort exercises to see what the behavioral styles are in the group, and then discussion around how we like to work, communicate and socialize.

I've seen many of these behavioral models come and go - one minute they're all the rage and then next they are discredited. However, they are useful tools for high level discussions around how people like to work and communicate with the most important learning being that we are all different.

Sometimes discovering how other people think or operate is a huge eye-opener and these sorts of discussions are a great help to new managers.
