Thanks for sharing your story! It reminds me of mine in many ways: quarter-life crisis, failing health, raising kids. My family ended up moving abroad.
I wrote about it yesterday and would love to hear your thoughts if you have a few minutes to read. Cheers!
I think every high achiever can relate to pushing through something while their body was screaming at them to stop. We're so conditioned to override those signals, to push through, to make it work.
But our bodies are never wrong about misalignment.
I'm so happy this resonated for you, Dana! You're right. We are conditioned to override those signals that are here to help us recalibrate and rejuvenate.
Most of us learn to frame unexpected pivot points as these profound, polished moments of risk where we become hardened and capable through our David vs. Goliath epic. But very few people depict the rampant uncertainty that’s embedded in such abrupt change. Bravo, Kathy, for modeling resilience with such transparency. Thank you! And kudos!
I think the more honestly we can speak about what's actually happening in the tough times, the more we can normalize the steps we need to take to navigate them with less pain, more efficacy, and for the betterment of yourself and the people/organization(s) around you.
This is an amazing story and journey Kathy! I applaud your grit, determination and the courage to step back, so you could step forward once again. You accomplished it in renewed way that has set the stage for your calling in life. - Robert 💜

I applaud and admire your grit and perseverance. 💪
Thanks so much, Jeanne!

Our bodies know -- we just have to listen.
