Love this post on living through your values at work and home ... with kids! I resonate with giving up TV - I don't have time for the binging and the side projects. Something has to give.
Recently, I've been sleeping super early at 8pm but then my body wakes me up naturally at 5am. That's been awesome for early early morning deep work before the pumpkin wakes. How about you!?
Love that! I love going to bed early too, but I'm not disciplined enough to be consistent. I struggle with FOMO of not being with the family because they all stay up later.
I think your schedule is my body's ideal schedule too. If you can keep to it and feel well doing it, celebrate it!
I think the only thing I might add is keeping high priority items very visible. I find it’s easy for me to forget things that aren’t in my face. So we have a family calendar that is basically the first thing we see in the morning when we come downstairs lol.
That’s so excellent. Especially when you are busy, it’s easy to get distracted. Making the most important items visible sounds like a very easy but very effective way to do that! Thanks for sharing!!
Great list. I also love good healthy food and I'm a bit too guilty of spending too much time cooking (my wife and kids love it though!), so I've dialed that down a bit.
The phone one is a must. The few times I had to work on open offices, I was SHOCKED to see people's phone ringing all the time and my coworkers or friends checking their phones relentlessly. Maddening.

Thanks, Elizabeth. I’m so happy it landed for you. What’s your biggest time hack? I’m always looking to learn.

Having kids changed my understanding of and relationship with time! Great recommendations here and many have been full-proof for me, too!
I’m so happy it resonated with you! Have you found any other habits or hacks to help you?
